“In these challenging economic times, the New York business community applauds Governor Paterson's continued commitment to a smart, disciplined and efficient approach to state spending.
In order to remain the leading global center of commerce and a great place to live and work, New York must find ways to do more with less. The Governor's call for reform of the Empire Zone program and the application of these cost savings to a research and development tax credit is one such example. In addition, the Governor's vision for renewable energy production will position New York as a leader in a crucial emerging industry and will create new jobs at a critical time.”
