PARTNERSHIP FOR NEW YORK CITY
New York, New York
January 15, 2009
“Today, in his State of the City address, Mayor Bloomberg delivered a forceful and courageous commitment to help businesses create 400,000 new jobs and strengthen the New York economy, which is facing its greatest crisis in forty years.
The Partnership looks forward to working with the Mayor to simplify the city’s business tax policies and make them consistent with those of the state and federal government. This will alleviate some of the burden from corporate filings and make New York a more attractive place to do business. In addition, the Mayor's plan to end or reduce the impact of the UBT on the city's 17,000 small businesses will help support vital entrepreneurial ventures and established businesses maintain their crucial role in our local economy."
The Partnership for New York City (www.pfnyc.org) is a network of business leaders dedicated to enhancing the economy of the five boroughs of New York City and maintaining the city’s position as the center of world commerce, finance and innovation.
