Statement From Kathryn Wylde, President & CEO of the Partnership for New York City, on President's Obama's Plan for Financial Regulatory Reform

“Plans to reform America's financial system along the lines that were announced yesterday by President Obama will, if adopted by Congress, go a long way toward ensuring that New York City remains the world capital of finance. The Partnership for New York City endorses the balanced approach that the Administration has taken in an effort to restore investor confidence, protect consumers and ensure continued U.S. leadership in the global financial services industry. We urge Congress to move quickly to consider and act on a reform package which establishes a solid framework for new international standards.”
