“The Partnership strongly supported the creation of the Commission On Health Care Facilities in the 21st Century, led by Stephen Berger. This Commission was granted the authority to make the hard decisions needed to fundamentally restructure the health care system—decisions that required some insulation from political and institutional interests. Now that the Commission has completed the first phase of this Herculean task, the Partnership urges the Governor, Governor-elect and the State Legislature to allow its decisions to stand.”
